I took a detour away from physical media. I once found solace in working with my hands carving, painting and drawing, I fell into the digital world. But honestly, I didn't feel as fulfilled creating digital media even though I was using purchased assets and earning good money. But the outcome didn't fill my soul as when I let my creativity be a physical act.
Not classically trained and having no one specific medium to focus on, I enjoy learning new techniques, being inspired by watching other's work and planning out art pieces of my own. The smooth glide of acrylic paint or magic of watercolors and paper are all part of the process of exploration that sometimes yields lovely "art". The challenge of using knives to cut out printed mediums, rolling out ink and transferring the stamp to paper to create the printmaking process to success is greatly missed.
I also like sharing my day with photos or videos. They're not earth shattering perfect, just raw me for better or worse.
So, I'm back and thought I'd share my reentry returning to my creative space with both good and bad results.
